Night at the Carnival

Last weekend we took Bryson to the carnival in town and then to the parade downtown for General Granbury's birthday. He wasn't able to ride very many of the rides because he wasn't 36 inches just yet, he didn't ride 4-5 rides with us though. Below are pictures of the carnival and parade, he wasn't a big fan of the rides especially the Ferris wheel he hung onto me pretty tight on that ride! We also had a 18 month checkup on Thursday and Bryson weighed 26.1 lbs and was 31.5 inches long. SO he finally put on some weight.

My little Cowboy

This week went by very fast! The transition to the new bed was a little difficult but we made it. He is finally sleeping through the night till about 6 or so and then takes some juice and goes back to sleep till I wake him up for school. Not much to report this week other than he is picking up more and more words, and learning lots of commands, such as:get in your chair to eat, take a bath, wash your hands, cover your mouth, take your clothes off. I don't think he still fully understands NO but that will come with time. He are some photos of Bryson Saturday when we went out to lunch and to Walmart (Nana only went once she saw what he as wearing and wanted show him off!)

Movin On Up..!!

A week ago today I ordered Bryson's toddler bed, once we caught him with one leg over the top of the crib trying to get out! It came in today (site to store with Walmart), so I went and picked it and and was so excited about putting it together and trying it out. I'm now thinking this is going to be harder than I thought... We are going to try to have a routine of getting in bed and reading a book then going to sleep, so we will see how that goes. He was doing so well on this schedule before with getting a bath and going to bed with his music. So far, its not looking to promising but its only the first day. I put him in bed and we read a book and then I pulled the door to (also had a child proof gate up). He got up and cried, but i decided he just needed to cry and he would go to sleep. I helped my friend Kristen put her daughters bed together and helped her the first night with this transition and she to didn't like it but we just shut the door and let her cry and about 3-4 minutes later she stopped, and we opened the door and she had fallen asleep in her bed, I believe she even slept all night that night. SO I'm going to try the same thing! He just stopped crying so, looks like it might! Also the other day it was so nice outside, he REALLY wanted to go outside but i was to busy with other thins so we decided that Bryson could paint outside in his highchair where he couldn't go any where but he would be outside, so Ill post pictures of our "Picasso" at work! I guess I should have taken pictures of the finished products, but they are on display on "Pop Pop's" refrigerator. Enjoy

Bryson Is 17 Months Today!

I made a small video of recent clips of Bryson to celebrate his 17 months! YEAH 17 months already, I know!!! Times flying. In the video there are clips of our recent trip to bounce house, bryson on his "Dr.Pepper" kick (you'll see it and laugh), pictures of him petting the cows next door, and then pictures of him on Granpa's tractor! Bryson has been doing good, although he has quite the temper at times, wonder where that comes from! He has been sick with a little bug, but we went to the doctor on Tuesday and got medicines and are on the road to recovery. He weighed 20.16 lbs and is 29.34 inches tall. He is still a little under weight but they aren't worried about it just yet, he doesn't eat much and has pretty much lost his appetite. He has been working with Nana and Grandpa in the garden and playing with his new down Max. Bryson has become a little monkey with his climbing! He climbs chairs, tables, washers, dryers...etc. Hope you enjoy our video.

A Day At the Park

Sunday we made a trip to the park with everyone (Wesley, Me, Bryson, Kristen, Karmyn, Brixon), to have a play day with the kids. They loved the slides as you can see from pictures. All we had to do was show Bryson how to get to the slide once and he was gone, going back and forth up and down the slide. He thought every time he slid though he had to go face first!! Then he would get to the bottom of the slide and just look at the ground like, "How am I going to get out now?". He would then scoot back some and start trying to turn around so his feet were first so he could get down on the ground. Bryson also insisted on climbing back up the slides, even after falling 15 times and sliding back down. He was like a monkey if you let him go, he wasn't afraid of anything. He would see Karmyn doing something (shes 2 1/2) and he knew he could do it to, and almost always did he succeed. After chasing them around we decided to get their matching motorized 4-wheelers out. In looking at the pictures you would think that the PURPLE Tinkerbell 4-wheeler was Bryson's, but it's Karmyn's. She waved him over for a ride on hers once and then he wouldn't get off, so she went and got on his because he REFUSED to get off hers! They rode around on those for a while then Bryson decided he wanted to go running and trying to take other peoples things, like bicycles, other bigger 4-wheelers, & toys. Baby Brixon (3 months), just rode around in the stroller and then would come out for a little bit to watch the kids play and then lay back down for a small nap. It was quite the adventure, although next time time I think we will need more adults. On the way home we had to stop for Karmyn to go to the bathroom AGAIN, and Bryson just started talking and talking when I looked back he had ahold of Brixon's hand and was rubbing his arm just talking away to him like they were best friends, it was SO cute. Anyways, this has turned into quite a long blog so Ill leave you with some photos.

A Bryson Update

I compiled a short video of Bryson over the last few weeks, just little snip its that I have caught on the video camera. At the beginning if you listen you can hear him talking. He will run through the house yelling and talking, he has become very vocal. He now says Momma, Daddy, Nana, Pop Pop, Manda, Bella, Spot, Excuse Me, Thank You, Please, No more, Max and puppy. He recently got a new puppy who is 10 weeks old and is a Mini Schnauzer, we traded Ruby for a smaller puppy that would play better with Bryson, and he loves Max. Hope you enjoy the video and pictures.

Merry Christmas

Overall we had a GREAT Christmas, it was a ton more fun than last year since he understood it a little more. We recorded Bryson coming out of his room to see what Santa brought him, and took lots of pictures. Also over the Christmas break Bryson got to see his girlfriend Ava, which I also have pictures of! Mom (me) got a video camera from Christmas, so there will be lots more videos and better ones that on my cell phone! Hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas and are going to have a Happy New Year! Enjoy the photos.

Bryson's Weekend

This weekend was a busy weekend. Started Saturday with lots of shopping with Mom, Nana & Aunt Amanda, we shopped all day. Bryson went to bed early that night and slept all night thankfully, guess he was all shopped out. Sunday we went to see Santa Clause again....and still he doesn't like him, so those pictures aren't so great. We also stopped on the way to see Santa at
Togie and Daisy's house to ride the four wheeler, and the dog flash, then pet the horses.
Also this weekend with all the getting in and out of the car and walking in the wind outside Bryson managed to get a cough so we started back up his breathing treatments. The first one was Saturday night and it was a fight to give it to him, I had to practically hold his whole body down to get him to take it. The next morning I went to give him another one and he liked it he sat there just wanted to hold the mask over his nose, and got mad when I turned it off. SO now he likes to hold the mask himself and give himself a breathing treatment.
